Facilities

We have a wide variety of machines in order to establish an integrated production system from printing to processing.
This page introduces some of them.
A list of major facilities is provided at the bottom of this page for your reference.
 

offset printing

Senshu Iwai Kyodo Printing owns and operates the following five oil-based offset printing presses.

• Single-sided four-color machine: 1 unit (Komori Lithrone LS-40)
• Single-sided monochromatic machine: 1 unit (HAMADA WH66)
• Double-sided monochromatic machine: 3 units (Kitajin JS2102)

Color bars are added to all of our printed materials, and colors are quantified and managed by a color management system directly connected to the printing press. This system ensures highly reproducible and stable color quality.
 

book making

In addition to the basic bookbinding processes of folding, saddle stitching, and perfect binding, ring binding and saddle-stitch binding are also supported.
In particular, a custom-made vise gatherer with a 30-piece capacity has been installed in the wireless binding line, which can flexibly handle large-format cards and random gatherers.

Card Manufacturing

This is the process of arranging the printed cards in the correct order. We have two types of card collating machines, each with different methods.
One machine is a Rorem machine, which cuts and collates cards with a slit. In this case, the card is a rectangle with corners when the collating is completed, so additional bush removal is required to straighten the edges.
The other is a system that combines die-cutting and collating. In this case, the corners are rounded when the collating is completed, so no additional processing is required and the product can be packaged as is.

Punching (Thompson process)

Die-cuts materials into a wide variety of shapes using die-cutters.
In our applications, we often die-cut packages and trick picture books.

We have both fully-automatic and semi-automatic die-cutting machines, and semi-automatic machines can flexibly handle materials (sponge, foam, synthetic resin sheet, etc.) that are difficult to die-cut with fully-automatic machines.

box-making process

This is the process of shaping work-in-progress into a box using a sack machine.
Glue is applied to the die-cut paper and folded, taping the edges together. Apply pressure to prevent misalignment, let dry, and the box is complete.

CNC Cut

Product prototypes can be made without using die-cutters.
In addition to the production of dummies for packages and picture books, the company also cuts foam, styrene, and carpets, which are used in the production of sample books.

Quality Assurance

This is an initiative to ensure and improve product quality throughout the entire process, from product design and manufacturing to after-sales service after shipment.
This is not only to reduce defective products, but also a strategic initiative to pursue customer satisfaction and enhance corporate credibility.
